BMW's New Speed Limit Info System

Written by Olivia Richardson: 29-July-2010

Have you ever been driving along, too occupied singing a song, then wondered what the feck the speed limit is?

Clever BMW is going to launch a Speed Limit Information system that tells drivers what the speed limit is in any area they’re driving!

It has a camera fitted near the interior mirror which very R2-D2-edly monitors signs by the roadside and variable speed limit signs, and compares them with the data saved in the BMW navigation system.

Even when there’s temporary road work speed limits, the system zooms in on the temporary road sign and that overrides the one saved in the system.

“This technology is a first for the Australian market, and typifies the approach BMW takes in respect to development of cutting-edge technology solutions,” says BMW Australia Managing Director Stavros Yallouridis.

Peugeot 3008 Car Review

28-July-2010

Review by Georgia Dawes.

Three words to describe the Peugeot 3008?

Adventurous, smart, fun.

What was your first impression of the new Peugeot 3008?

Captain Cook, Sir Edmund Hilary, Peugeot 3008. This car is an adventurer, a stylish and compact SUV that can climb every mountain and cruise along every windy road with style and ease.

The Peugeot 3008 combines the best features of a small car (think: easy to park) with the best features of a large car (more space for all your friends).

What about the interior?

The Peugeot 3008 is the kind of car you get into and all the features are where they should be (well, everything except the sides of the blinkers and windscreen wipers... the new signal for turning left is windscreen wipers on hehe – European style).
